Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actor. Kellie Martin has appeared in a variety of TV and film shows like "Christy" which is a drama about a young woman named Christy Huddleston. Other notable roles include the title role of The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin began her career in acting in the age of seven, when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children helped her land her a role in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin took her acting career more serious. She was able to land important roles on television as well as the big screen. Martin, besides being an actor, is also a talented photographer and ballet dancer. Her sister who passed away from Lupus aged 19 led her to becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
